Clinical Supervision

I provide individual and group clinical supervision for ASWs and AMFT on a weekly basis for BBS licensure hours.  My main objective in clinical supervision is to assess, evaluate and help supervisees learn and grow.  Clinical supervision often entails any of the following methods:
  • Review of client cases and case presentations using multicultural supervision;
  • Provide theoretical models such as cognitive behavior therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, solution-focused, motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, and narrative therapies;
  • Explore clinical interventions through role-plays and collaborative discussion;
  • Review of legal and ethical issues within the clinical practice;
  • Explore issues of transference and counter-transference;
  • Review DSM-V diagnosis and criteria for diagnosing;
  • Strategies for good clinical documentation, including MediCal specific documentation for initial assessments, treatment planning and progress notes;
  • BBS licensure exam preparation.
